Thomas Allofs wurde geboren am 17.November 1959 in Düsseldorf
Gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Klaus Allofs spielte der Stürmer jahrelang für Fortuna Düssledorf.
1982 verließ er die Fortuna, und ging in die Pfalz zum 1.FC Kaiserslautern.
Nach drei Jahren wechselte der erfolgreiche Angreifer zur Saison 1986/1987 zum 1.FC Köln , wo er anfangs wieder mit seinem Bruder Klaus zusammenspielen konnte. 1989 zog es ihn, als frischgebackenen Bundesliga-Torschützenkönig mit 17 Tore (gemeinsam mit dem Bayern-Spieler Roland Wohlfarth)ins Ausland
und er wechselte zur Saison 1989/1990 zum RC Strassburg nach Frankreich,
Zur Spielzeit 1986/1987 wechselte der Angreifer für 1,7 Millionen D-Mark Ablöse vom 1.FC Kaiserslautern zum FC.
Und er stand nach 5 Jahre wieder mit seinen Brüder Klaus wieder gemeinsam in einem Team.
Immerhin 26 Pflichtspieltore konnte das Brüderpaar während des gemeinsamen Jahres beim FC erzielen ,
obwohl Thomas mit hartnäckigem Verletzungspech zu kämpfen hatte.
Brüder Klaus wechselte 1987 zu Olympique Marseille.
Der Stürmer blühte fömllich auf unter Trainer Christoph Daum ,
und harmonierte auf dem Platz vor allem mit Sturmpartner Flemming Povlsen hervorragend.
Tragisch , dass er sich , als es gerade richtig rund lief ,
nach einem brutalen Foul des Hamburgers Manfred Kaltz einen Kreuzbandriss zuzog und damit lange Zeit ausser Gefecht war.
Allofs blieb sofern er fit war , Stammspieler und wurde während seiner FC-Zeit sogar einmal Deutscher Vizemeister.
1989 wurde er gemeinsam mit Roland Wohlfahrt (FC Bayern München) mit 17 erzielten Treffern , Torschützenkönig der Bundesliga.
Nach seinem Engagement in der Domstadt wechselte Thomas zur Saison 1989/1989 nach Frankreich zu Racing Strassburg.
Thomas Allofs machte insgesamt 82 Pflichtspiele und erzielte dabei 37 Tore für den FC.
Sein debüt im FC-Dress gab Thomas Allofs am 09.08.1986 bei der 3-1 Auswärtsniederlage bei VfL Bochum.
Hier schoss Thomas Allofs auch sein erstes Tor für den FC , in der 24.Minute erzielte er das zwichzeitliche 1-1.
